Job summary

Worldpac is seeking an Assistant Branch Operations Manager to learn all branch operations and assist the Branch Operations Manager in directing daily activities at the Birmingham branch. This role develops leadership within a warehouse environment and ensures safety, training, and customer service excellence.

You will support budgeting, staffing, and performance reviews, while coordinating delivery and pickup of orders. Strong organization and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: High school/secondary school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience in a warehouse-related field.
• Comfortable with using Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Able to open and close the warehouse, Monday–Friday, and Saturdays as needed.
• Meet all state/province driver’s license requirements before driving a company vehicle.
• Proficient with Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Highly organized with strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Willing to learn and grow in all branch operations areas.
• Understanding of P&L and willingness to obtain powered equipment certification.

Responsibilities

• In the absence of the Branch Operations Manager, assume day-to-day branch operations.
• Review and model safety procedures to ensure compliance by all team members.
• Support training and development of team members and apply learnings daily.
• Maintain a customer service-oriented approach in all interactions.
• Assist to learn all branch management functions, including staffing, budgeting and expense management.
• Use vehicles to deliver orders or pick up returned merchandise safely.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
