Job summary

Republic Finance is offering a Branch Operations Intern position in Hammond, LA. This 100% onsite internship focuses on learning the daily branch functions, customer service approaches, and regulatory training while exposing you to various career paths within the company.

You will participate in loan processing activities, audits, and regional meetings, with hands-on experiences designed to build a pathway to future opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a Junior or Senior majoring in Business, Finance, or related field.
• Ideal candidates will be eager to learn, enthusiastic, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 18-20 hours per week.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet acceptable standards for criminal background history, credit history and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to meet the eligibility requirements for insurance licensing.
• Eligibility is based on a criminal background check conducted by the state's department of insurance.

Responsibilities

• Learn the loan process and regulatory training through accelerated program.
• Assist in daily production of loan origination, processing, closings and fundings.
• Spend time with the Manager and Regional VP to understand promotional paths.
• Attend regional meetings and workshops to gain exposure to the Branch Operations division.
• Learn about branch operations process improvement projects.
• Overview of corporate roles where Branch backgrounds are desirable (Audit, Compliance, Training, Recruiting, etc.).
