Job summary

Exchange Bank in Santa Rosa, CA seeks an Assistant Retail Service Manager to oversee branch operations, coach bankers, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard sound practices. This full-time, non-exempt role reports as the back-up to the Retail Service Manager.

Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, approving transactions, auditing records, cross-training staff, guiding recruitment and performance feedback, and aiding branch sales through coaching and cross-selling opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience with 3 years in branch operations.
• NMLS certification required.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory banking requirements.

Responsibilities

• Approve exception items and overdrafts and escalate when needed.
• Lead daily branch operations ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
• Audit and update branch records, files and authorizations.
• Crosstrain staff and assist with recruitment and performance feedback.
• Set branch goals and communicate strategic direction to the team.
• Monitor staffing and coordinate coverage; support sales initiatives.
• Provide Relationship Banker duties to ensure customer experience.
