Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a full-service banking and consumer lending organization in Fremont, CA. This management-level role is ideal for a proven banking professional who can lead daily branch operations, drive deposit growth, develop a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional client experience.

The Branch Manager will oversee sales, service, operations, compliance, community engagement, and staff development within the branch. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations of a full-service bank branch, including client service, sales performance, operations, compliance, safety, and security.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop branch employees while supporting hiring, performance management, scheduling, and employee development.
• Drive core deposit growth through sales strategies, outbound calling, community networking, relationship building, and branch marketing initiatives.
• Monitor branch performance, trends, expenses, audits, operational controls, and compliance with bank policies and state and federal banking regulations.
• Resolve complex customer service issues, support business and consumer account needs, and model a customer-first service culture.
• Represent the branch in the local community, support CRA initiatives, and participate in professional, civic, and business organizations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $75,000 to $107,000 per year.
• Job type: Direct hire, full-time.
• Work arrangement: In-office position in Fremont, CA.
• Schedule flexibility may be required, including occasional hours beyond the standard schedule.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage full-service branch operations, including sales, service, compliance, staffing, and operational controls.
• Lead deposit growth, customer relationship development, cross-selling efforts, and local market outreach.
• Coach, develop, and performance-manage branch employees to achieve service, sales, and operational goals.
• Oversee complex business and consumer account servicing while ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a branch banking environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of branch management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience managing complex business and consumer accounts.
• Proven sales ability with documented branch growth.
• Experience hiring, training, coaching, developing, and managing employee performance.
• Strong knowledge of banking operations, branch procedures, customer service standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, team-building, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.
• Active involvement in business-related local community organizations, such as a Chamber of Commerce or Rotary.
• Current California driver’s license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage for business-related driving.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Notary Public certification preferred.
• Experience participating in CRA-related community activities or volunteer programs.
• Established relationships within the Fremont, CA business community or surrounding market.
