Job summary

Airgas is hiring a Branch Manager in Morristown, TN to oversee daily store operations, drive sales and margins, and lead a team in providing excellent customer service. The role partners with outside sales to grow client relationships and ensures smooth daily financial processing and reporting.

The position requires prior management experience in retail or industrial distribution, the ability to lift heavy items, strong computer skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience in a customer facing environment.
• Background in supporting and leading teams within a retail or industrial distribution environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and occasionally up to 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• Proficient computer skills and an interest in learning new digital tools.
• The ability to navigate multiple priorities concurrently.
• Self-motivated with a focus on contributing to the overall team's success.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively act as a bridge between staff and management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations to achieve or advance sales and margin goals.
• Promote sales and deliver excellent customer service; nurture inventory levels.
• Balance expenses through purchasing decisions and cost controls.
• Foster safety, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance in the branch.
• Lead training for inside sales associates on product knowledge and policies.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews and mentor staff in collaboration with HR and leadership.
