Job summary

Airgas Richmond, IN is seeking a Branch Manager to lead daily operations, sales growth, and profitability for a retail/industrial gas distribution location. You will manage safety, inventory, and a team across counter sales, warehouse, drivers and customer service, while ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to company policies.

The role requires 5+ years in gas/distribution sales, prior management experience, and strong leadership with the ability to coach and motivate staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years sales/distribution of gases and welding supplies or similar.
• Two years of management or leadership experience.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong leadership: set standards, coach, and recognize performance.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations including safety, sales, warehousing, and distribution.
• Lead a team of Counter Sales, Warehouse, Drivers and Customer Service staff.
• Manage branch inventory and showroom/warehouse appearance.
• Coordinate hard goods receiving and inter-branch orders.
• Conduct annual or bi-annual physical inventories.
• Drive optimization of processes to improve efficiency.
