Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead daily operations, coaching a high-performing team and delivering outstanding customer service in Alaska. You will oversee teller activity, sales objectives, and compliance, while building trusted relationships with local customers.

Applicants should have 3+ years in retail banking with supervisory experience, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of branch policies.

• 3+ years of retail banking experience required.
• Supervisory or mentorship experience required.
• Branch operations experience required.
• Cross selling experience required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the operations of the branch including lobby and teller line staffing.
• Recruit, train, coach, lead, schedule, motivate, and evaluate the work of a team.
• Optimize resources to meet operational needs of the branch.
• Demonstrate effective sales strategies to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships and guide team to achieve sales objectives.
• Oversee the customer experience within the branch assessing feedback, identifying improvements, and resolving complex problems.
• Manage branch safety, security, and compliance.
• Perform regular audits of vault and teller cash with proper documentation.
• Represent the bank in business development efforts and at networking events.
