Job summary

United Community is seeking an experienced branch manager to lead a full-service banking location in Alaska. You will oversee growth, profitability, and daily operations, while coaching staff and ensuring excellent customer service. The role includes lending oversight, staff development, and community engagement.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in banking, lending experience, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, and travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years banking experience.
• Consumer/Residential lending experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Good interpersonal communication and supervisory skills.
• Thorough knowledge of Consumer and Small Business Lending Operations, Teller and CSR functions, bank products and services.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change.
• Background in financial operating policies and procedures, banking regulations, employee development and public relations preferred.
• Participate in all required compliance training and related learning programs.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall branch growth, profitability, and operations.
• Cross-train on all branch functions and supervise staff.
• Lead day-to-day operations and staffing; monitor performance.
• Use reports to maximize branch results and staff performance.
• Drive revenue, customer satisfaction, and CSP scores while controlling losses.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, disciplining, and coaching staff.
