Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking a hands-on Branch Manager to supervise daily branch operations, lead a diverse team, and drive customer-focused sales results. You will ensure policy compliance, staff development, and effective risk management while fostering a collaborative work environment.

The role requires strong banking knowledge, cross-selling experience, and a passion for coaching others to deliver exceptional service at multiple branches as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience.
• 3+ years of retail banking experience.
• Supervisory/leadership experience required.
• Branch operations experience required.
• Cross-selling experience preferred.
• Sales management experience preferred.
• Consumer credit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise branch operations including lobby/teller line and staffing.
• Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate staff.
• Optimize resource use to meet branch needs.
• Drive sales and customer relationship growth.
• Oversee customer experience and resolve issues.
• Manage branch safety, security, and compliance; deter fraud.
• Perform audits and documentation of vault/teller cash.
• Represent bank in business development and community events.
• Lead training sessions and staff meetings; provide backup to other branches.
