Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking an Associate Branch Manager II for the Bakersfield Branch to lead Member Service Specialists and ensure exceptional member experiences on the platform and teller line. This non-exempt role reports to the Branch Manager and drives daily operations, coaching, scheduling, and compliance.

You'll participate in strategic initiatives, manage staff development, and build strong member relationships while maintaining branch performance and a positive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Human Resources or equivalent work experience preferred
• 3+ years progressively responsible supervisory experience within a retail environment or financial institution required

Responsibilities

• Ensures delivery of exceptional member experience on the platform and teller line.
• Manages, directs and supervises day to day activities of Member Service Specialists.
• Train and coach employees on sound operational and compliance requirements across all areas of the branch.
• Create and maintain staff scheduling that aligns with meeting branch member service demands.
• Assists Branch Manager in developing and implementing strategies to capitalize on opportunities, highlight the benefit of our products and services.
• Assists the Branch Manager with human resource processes for all direct reports, including appraisals, disciplinary actions, development plans, interviews, etc.
• Identify, investigate and respond to member concerns.
• Ensures compliance and efficiency with all policies and procedures.
• Maintain working knowledge of financial industry rules and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and coordinate service promotion activities and outside marketing efforts as needed.
• Travel to meetings and may fill in at another branch location.
