Job summary

North Star Community Credit Union is seeking an experienced Retail Branch Manager for the Minot AFB Branch. You will own the branch's success, lead a team, grow lending, and strengthen member relationships in a military community.

You will drive strategy, ensure compliance, and deliver exceptional service while building connections with members and the local Minot AFB community. Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in a credit union, banking, or financial services environment.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills.
• Ability to translate goals into actionable plans and drive results.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Sound judgment, accountability, and problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead People: Coach, develop, and empower employees to grow in their roles and deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Drive Strategy: Translate organizational goals into branch priorities and create clear plans for achieving them.
• Own Performance: Take responsibility for branch results, including lending, new accounts, member relationships, service, and operational performance.
• Strengthen Lending: Identify lending opportunities, coach employees to have meaningful financial conversations, and underwrite and approve loans within assigned authority.
• Think Innovatively: Look for better ways to serve members, improve processes, strengthen efficiency, and grow the branch.
• Build Relationships: Develop meaningful connections with members and strengthen North Star’s presence within the Minot AFB community.
• Lead Operations: Maintain strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, security, staffing, scheduling, reporting, and overall operational excellence.
• Solve Problems: Approach challenges with sound judgment, accountability, and a solutions-focused mindset.
