Job summary

State Employees Credit Union of New Mexico is seeking a Branch Manager to lead and develop the branch team on-site in New Mexico. The role emphasizes coaching staff, driving sales, and delivering exceptional member service to build community reputation.

Reporting to the VP of Retail Engagement, you will develop business plans, monitor branch performance, manage risk, and ensure compliance with federal and SECU guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Graduate of an accredited high school or have the equivalent (GED).
• Equivalent to a BS or BA in a relevant field or 3–5 years of related experience.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible management and supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to deal with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Manage branch to achieve annual goals and support strategic initiatives.
• Develop and execute a business development plan and engage with the local community.
• Create sales and cross-selling plans; coach staff to reach targets.
• Provide training and development plans for employees.
• Conduct timely performance appraisals and take corrective actions.
• Ensure branch work complies with SECU policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain branch security and safety and follow procedures.
• Identify and minimize branch risk while maintaining service quality.
• Perform all other assigned duties.
