Job summary

M&T Bank Corporation is seeking a Branch Manager in South Burlington, VT. You will lead a customer-focused team, drive sales, and ensure exceptional service delivery while maintaining risk controls and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to a Retail Regional Manager and emphasizes relationship-based banking, coaching, and community engagement to support local goals and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, OR, in lieu of degree, Four (4) years’ relevant experience.
• Minimum three years sales experience.
• Minimum two years’ managerial experience or proven leadership abilities.
• Life/Accident and Health Insurance licensing required within 18 months of entry into position.
• Licensing training offered within 6 months.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Business Banking products and client relationship management.
• M&T Way Certified Precision Leadership.
• Certified Bi-lingual/Spanish preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office software and Internet/email.

Responsibilities

• Lead branch team to achieve annual sales and profitability goals.
• Maintain knowledge of operations, products and system changes; manage risk.
• Servicing existing customers while growing the business through proactive sales and outside calling.
• Build productive partnerships with bank areas to resolve customer and employee issues.
• Take full ownership of customer issues until resolution.
