Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a Clinical Coordinator to support Medical Assistants and oversee MA staff in collaboration with Nursing Leadership and the Practice Manager.

You will ensure efficient patient/work flow, staff satisfaction, and achievement of operational goals while coordinating care between patients and providers and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with management/supervision coursework
• MA credentialing and MA program completion is preferred
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned areas
• Assist with recruitment, hiring, orientation, training and coaching of MA staff
• Maintain scheduling, time and attendance for MA staff
• Evaluate MA staff performance and recommend promotions/discipline
• Fill in as Medical Assistant when needed
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes
• Coordinate care and serve as liaison between patients and providers
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs
