Job summary

Houston Ballet seeks a customer-focused Box Office Associate to take and fill ticket orders by phone and at the box office, explain seating and pricing, and manage Will Call. You will balance transactions via Tessitura and support box office staff during performances at multiple venues.

Ideal candidates bring strong cash handling and outstanding customer service, with the ability to work evenings and matinees and assist with special projects in the Center for Dance.

Qualifications

• Experience in ticket sales and customer service is required.
• Ability to explain seating, pricing, fees, and parking options is preferred.
• Experience handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Take and fill ticket orders for telephone and box office purchases.
• Explain seating, prices, fees, sections, and parking options.
• Provide information on subscription packages and ballet details to patrons.
• Process orders through Tessitura and balance end-of-day transactions.
• Assist box office managers and staff on special projects.
