Job summary

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC is seeking a General Manager to maximize financial performance by delivering exceptional guest service and fostering a positive work environment for all staff.

The role requires leadership across departments, oversight of operations, and collaboration with owners to drive growth and profitability. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of upper-level management experience in hospitality.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Ability to encourage, lead and manage a team by example.
• High level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility.
• Strong computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor and participate in a comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that results in maximum occupancy and average rates for the hotel.
• Coordinate and assist with guest satisfaction and guest resolutions.
• Maintain a cross-relationship with the restaurant; promote the success of the entire Kimpton property.
• Protect and enhance the value of all hotel assets through maintenance, security and housekeeping programs.
• Coordinate weekly forecasting and planning of operating staffing and costs.
• Supervise and develop the performance of all operating departments.
