Job summary

Kimpton Banneker Washington DC is seeking an Assistant General Manager to supervise hotel departments and oversee operations in line with brand standards. You will lead and develop associates, help forecast and monitor budgets, and partner with sales to improve occupancy and revenue.

The role offers a clear growth path toward General Manager and Area leadership, with a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, safety, and financial performance.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of overall hotel operations.
• Previous Food & Beverage background/experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates per brand standards.
• Oversee hotel departments to ensure top service levels for guests.
• Assist GM with forecasts, budgets, and revenue/expense monitoring.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and brand standards to improve ratings.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable and hotel payroll coordination.
• Coordinate with corporate accounting on payroll and audits.
• Work with sales to implement strategies to improve occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain front office systems and safety compliance.
• Participate on the hotel's safety committee.
• Perform other duties as requested.
