Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC is seeking a General Manager to maximize financial performance by delivering exceptional guest service and fostering a positive work environment for all staff.

The role requires leadership across departments, oversight of operations, and collaboration with owners to drive growth and profitability. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with strong communication and interpersonal skills essential.

Pay Range/Rate

$185,000 to $210,000 is the salary range for this role. This job is also eligible for bonus pay. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k, and many other benefits to eligible employees.

What You'll Do

As the General Manager, you are responsible for maximizing the financial performance of the hotel by providing the highest possible quality guest service and product by encouraging a positive work environment for all employees. You are at the heart of Kimpton's values, teamwork, and performance!

Some of your responsibilities include:

• Develop, implement, monitor and participate in a comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that results in maximum occupancy and average rates for the hotel.
• Works directly with the ownership group to strategize and implement projects that will assist with the business growth.
• Coordinate and assist with guest satisfaction and guest resolutions.
• Maintain a cross-relationship with the restaurant. Work as a team to promote the success of the entire Kimpton property.
• Protect and enhance the value of all hotel assets through appropriate programs in maintenance, security, and housekeeping and through the capital budgeting process.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all period-end financial statements and reports, and provide controls to ensure the proper handling and accounting for all hotel receipts.
• Coordinate weekly forecasting and planning of operating staffing and cost expenditures to correspond to forecasted sales and costs.
• Review and approve all operating expenses.
• Perform other tasks as necessary, in order to achieve the financial goals of the organization. EX: Networking, Local Industry Events, Community Relations
• Supervise and develop the performance of all operating departments including, but not limited to: Front Office, Guest Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Sales and Marketing, Accounting and People and Culture.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising, performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What You Bring

• 2 to 4 years of upper-level management experience in hospitality.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
