Barnes & Noble College is seeking a motivated Assistant Store Manager to support daily operations in our campus bookstore. You will supervise staff, deliver outstanding customer service, manage cash and sales goals, and help implement programs that enhance student experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail experience with customer service focus.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred or completed Best Seller program.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations and departments in partnership with the Store/General Manager.
• Direct work activities to ensure delivery of services, sales, and customer service.
• Maintain a presence on the sales floor to assist customers and drive purchases.
• Help with hiring, training, and development of team members.
• Maintain an appealing sales floor and manage cash handling and transactions.
