Job summary

The Bookseller at Books A Million provides exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and processing purchases at the register. You’ll learn the store’s products to assist customers confidently.

Responsibilities include promoting memberships and store programs, stocking shelves, maintaining neat displays, and assisting across departments as needed. You will help ensure accurate cash handling and loss-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Stand and walk for extended periods, and multi-task in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, assist with questions and orders, and provide efficient cashiering.
• Sell products and promote membership and educator programs.
• Balance cash drawer after each shift per Loss Prevention Policy.
• Stock and merchandise products on the sales floor per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor and assist with inventory and shipments.
• Protect company assets by adhering to loss prevention standards and acting with integrity.
• Assist in other departments and perform related duties as assigned.
