Job summary

Books A Million is seeking a Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service, knowledge about books and store merchandise, and proactive assistance to customers. The role includes cashiering, promoting membership and educator programs, stocking shelves, and maintaining store appearance.

The Bookseller will also help with inventory, receiving shipments, and light fixture maintenance as part of daily duties in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong customer service mindset and basic cash handling abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with high level of service by greeting and assisting customers.
• Promotes POS initiatives and membership programs.
• Balances cash drawer as per policy.
• Delivers and places products on the sales floor per merchandising guidelines.
• Maintains sales floor, shelves, and store housekeeping tasks.
• Assists with inventory, receiving shipments, and related duties.
