Job summary

Books A Million is seeking a bookseller who delivers exceptional customer service, assists guests with questions, and processes orders at the register. The role involves promoting membership programs, magazine promotions, and educator programs while maintaining the sales floor and helping with inventory.

Ideal candidates are energetic, able to multi-task, and comfortable using cash registers and POS systems.

Qualifications

• 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Computer and cash register skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with questions and orders; provide excellent cashiering service.
• Promote product sales and participate in point of sale programs and Educator programs.
• Balance cash drawer within policy after each shift.
• Place and replenish products on the sales floor according to merchandising guidelines.
• Restock, tidy, and maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and surrounding areas.
• Assist in other departments, receive shipments, and help with inventory as needed.
