Job summary

Books-A-Million seeks a friendly Bookseller to deliver exceptional customer service, assist customers with questions, and manage cashiering duties in a fast-paced retail setting. You’ll promote memberships and educator programs while maintaining the sales floor and merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provides customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, communicating and assisting with questions and orders, and efficient cashiering.
• Sales of all products and promotion of point of sale initiatives including Membership programs and Educator programs.
• Balances cash drawer following each shift and adheres to Loss Prevention policies.
• Delivers and places products on the sales floor according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintains the sales floor, shelves books, and performs store housekeeping tasks as required.
• Protects company assets by adhering to loss prevention standards and other duties as assigned.
