Books A Million is seeking a Bookseller to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with questions and orders on the sales floor. You will handle cashier duties, promote memberships and programs, and ensure accurate cash handling according to policy.

The role requires a friendly, knowledgeable approach to books and merchandise, with ability to multitask during busy periods and maintain store cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage busy periods.
• Strong communication skills—oral and written.

Responsabilités

• Provides customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, communicating and assisting customers with questions and orders, and efficient cashiering.
• Sales of all products and promotion of point of sale initiatives including Membership programs, Magazine for Millionaires program, Educator programs, and other company-sponsored programs.
• Balances cash drawer following each register shift within allowable variances as identified in the Loss Prevention Policy.
• Delivers and places product on the sales floor in accordance with merchandising guidelines and timelines.
• Recovers the sales floor during each shift, including picking up items, shelving books and product, straightening bookshelves and tables, and store housekeeping tasks as required.
• Protects company assets by adhering to all loss prevention standards and acting with integrity in all transactions.
• Other duties as assigned including assisting in other departments, receiving shipments, small fixture assembly and maintenance, assisting with inventory, and restroom cleanliness.
