Job summary

Books A Million is hiring a Bookseller who will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with questions and orders, and support efficient cashiering at the point of sale. The role involves promoting programs, balancing cash drawers, stocking shelves, and maintaining store appearance to ensure a positive shopping experience.

The position requires basic computer and cash register skills, strong communication, and availability for a retail schedule.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide high level of customer service at the register.
• Assist customers with questions, orders, and product recommendations.
• Promote Membership programs and other company-sponsored programs.
• Balance cash drawer and maintain accurate floor stock and merchandising.
• Restock, straighten shelves, and perform store housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Protect assets by following loss prevention standards and acting with integrity.
