Books-A-Million in Aurora, IL is seeking a Keyholder to begin stepping into store leadership. In this role you operate as a limited Manager On Duty, guiding your category team, upholding security, and ensuring daily operations meet standards while delivering excellent customer experiences.

You'll train Associates, manage shifts, and partner with management to drive sales and service goals. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for books and leadership aspirations in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Step up and lead the shift as a limited Manager On Duty, ensuring store standards and policies are followed.
• Own your category results by guiding your team to stronger sales and customer service.
• Maintain store security and open/close duties with care and integrity, following loss prevention standards.
• Train and develop Associates within your category to build product knowledge and leadership capability.
• Lead daily briefings to keep the team aligned on goals and plans.
