Books-A-Million in Manhattan, KS is seeking a part-time Keyholder to step into store leadership. You will operate as a limited Manager On Duty, oversee your category team, and ensure store security and readiness for customers.

A passion for books and leadership is essential to guide the team and drive customer satisfaction. You'll lead shifts, train associates, and manage loss prevention while delivering strong sales and service.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisor role.
• Successful completion of all required background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Step up and lead the shift as a limited Manager On Duty with the management team.
• Own category results by leading the team to stronger sales and service.
• Maintain store security, open/close with care, and follow loss-prevention standards.
• Train and develop associates within your category to build product knowledge.
• Lead cross-training to cover store needs and keep shifts staffed.
• Lead daily briefings to communicate goals and plans to the team.
