Job summary

The Affinity Group in Depew/Buffalo, NY is seeking a Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records across the Food Service and Retail divisions. You will handle day-to-day bookkeeping, support month-end close, and ensure data is reconciled and ready for reporting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, and a detail-oriented, collaborative approach to work with sales, operations, and brokerage teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Proficient in QuickBooks (Desktop or Online).
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, basic formulas).
• Solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger processes.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and check requests accurately and on time.
• Record and apply customer payments; follow up on outstanding receivables.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and external partners.
• Post journal entries weekly; reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with payroll processing and expense report reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate records for both Food Service and Retail divisions; coordinate with sales, operations, and brokerage teams.
