Job summary

GLOBAL FOOD SERVICES INC is seeking a talented Bookkeeper to join our team in New York. You will work with the Accounting department to maintain accurate financial records, ensure compliance with legal requirements, and support month-end close processes.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and proficient in GAAP, Excel, and QuickBooks. Responsibilities include data entry, trial balance, AP/AR processing, and tax forms completion to keep books in good standing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Previous experience as an office manager, accountant, bookkeeper, or similar position
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and basic accounting systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data and transactions
• Verify the accuracy of transactions that have been entered
• Prepare trial balance
• Analyze budgets and other financial information
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Complete required tax forms
• Familiar with QuickBooks or other accounting softwares
