Job summary

Barrette Workforce Solutions, LLC is seeking a Boiler Operator to manage the plant Energy Center on a 12-hour rotating shift. The role requires a Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher and CMMS experience; duties include monitoring DCS/PLC systems, logs, and coordinating with maintenance.

You'll ensure safe, efficient operations, maintain procedures, and support QA and safety programs across plant areas. Strong communication and time management are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota 1st Class B Boiler Engineer license or higher.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to work effectively with CMMS.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Time management skills.
• Two-year college/technical-vocational degree, military background, or 3+ years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Energy Center to ensure safe, timely and cost effective production.
• Maintain regular communication with operators to ensure shift consistency.
• Follow all plant policies and procedures and keep areas clean and organized.
• Maintain and update operating procedures and training manuals for process operations.
• Work with plant DCS & PLC systems and take daily equipment logs.
• Assist with maintenance and inspection of boilers, dryers, water treatment, and auxiliary equipment.
• Follow SOPs for all process equipment and troubleshoot plant operation issues.
• Support QA by sampling and testing process streams and maintaining QA records.
• Coordinate with maintenance on repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Participate in safety, health, and environmental programs.
