Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to perform master systems integration of building management systems, develop control databases, and create user interfaces based on project specs.

The role includes on-site and remote technical support, field startup, and system commissioning for large enterprise clients on a global scale. You will program control applications, perform system checkout and testing, and document resolutions for the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
• Understand procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
• Analyze solutions using technical experience to apply judgment.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Travel up to 50% annually; overnight trips possible.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Program control applications using various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning and testing of control apps.
• Verify operation per project specs, proposal and design docs.
• Develop system graphics displays per specs or proposal.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Conduct advanced system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
