Job summary

Global Roles is seeking a dedicated healthcare support professional to assist with the blood collection process at our Laguna Hills site. You will help with equipment setup, donor interaction, and safety procedures to create a welcoming environment that encourages donations.

Responsibilities include connecting with donors, collaborating with teammates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while contributing to a smooth, patient-friendly donation experience, with a variable schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required.
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required.
• Physical requirements include lifting/pushing/pulling heavy weights and long hours with irregular schedule.
• Minimum height of 60 inches may be required for vehicle operation.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications are required.
• Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.) is preferred.
• Prior leadership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• May drive Red Cross vehicles and help set up/tear down equipment.

Job description

Utilize healthcare and customer service skills to assist with the blood collection process including equipment setup, donor interaction, and safety procedures. Create a welcoming environment for donors and support the collection of lifesaving blood donations.

Responsibilities

• Take the time to personally connect with donors – listen to their stories and help them understand how impactful their donation is
• Collaborate with your teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteer donors feel comfortable returning
• Be detailed oriented to ensure collected blood meets goals, regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused
• May drive Red Cross vehicles and work with the team to setup and tear down equipment at donation sites
• Work variable schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays and possible overnight travel

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills are required
• A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required
• Physical requirements may include the ability to lift, push or pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time and adapt to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes are required
• Position may require a minimum height of 60 inches to ensure the ability to safely operate Red Cross vehicles
• Basic computer skills are required
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications
