Job summary

American Red Cross in Earlysville, VA is seeking Blood Collection Staff - Customer Service to engage donors and support the blood collection process. You will work with a team to create a welcoming environment, follow safety procedures, and help transport and set up equipment at donation sites.

Paid phlebotomy training is provided to grow healthcare skills. The role requires a high school diploma, strong customer service and verbal communication skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service experience and strong verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Connect with donors to explain donation impact and encourage return visits.
• Work with teammates to create a welcoming, friendly donor environment.
• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure collected blood meets safety standards.
• Assist with setup and teardown of equipment; may operate Red Cross vehicles.
• Adhere to safety procedures during blood collection and drives.
