Job summary

The Bistro Service Bartender at Biltmore greets guests in the Bistro dining areas and provides world class beverage and food service during their visit. Duties include preparing beverages, processing orders, engaging guests, and coordinating service for assigned areas, while delivering gracious hospitality per Biltmore standards.

Staff support includes assisting the restaurant team, leadership, and company initiatives.

Qualifications

Minimum of six months bartending experience; one year preferred.
Must be 21+ years old.
TIPS/ALE and related training required.
Basic math skills; ability to create/follow recipes with proper mixology techniques.
Strong guest service and interpersonal skills.
Proactive, good judgment and problem solving; attention to detail.
Excellent organizational skills; able to multitask.
Ability to learn about Biltmore and Asheville area.

Responsibilities

Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner according to standards.
Keep bar and public areas neat, clean, and free of debris at all times.
Anticipate guests' needs and maintain positive guest relations.
Resolve guest complaints to standards and ensure guest satisfaction.
Ensure areas are stocked, prepped, and set.
Perform opening/closing duties as assigned.
Create alcoholic beverages per approved recipes.
Prepare espresso beverages using equipment properly.
Keep back stock areas clean and organized.
Change kegs and lift wine/beer cases; perform other physical tasks.
