Job summary

Biltmore is seeking a Bistro Service Bartender to greet guests and provide world class beverage and food service in the Bistro dining areas. You will prepare drinks, process orders, engage guests, and coordinate service for your area while upholding Biltmore service standards.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months bartending experience (1+ year preferred), strong math and mixology skills, and a commitment to gracious hospitality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months experience bartending.
• Ideal candidates will have at least one (1) year of experience.
• Basic math skills; ability to create/follow recipes using proper mixology techniques.
• Demonstrated commitment to delivering world class internal/external guest service.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills; must engage with a wide variety of guests.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in the Bistro dining areas and provide world class beverage and food service.
• Prepare beverages and process orders.
• Engage guests and coordinate service for assigned area(s).
• Deliver gracious hospitality and ensure guests receive friendly, courteous, prompt service.
• Keep bar and public areas neat, clean, and free of debris.
• Create alcoholic beverages following approved recipes.
• Create espresso beverages using proper equipment.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and restocking as needed.
• Assist the restaurant team and leadership as required.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards.

Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Bistro Service Bartender will greet guests in the Bistro dining areas and provide world class beverage and food service for the duration of their visit. Duties will include: preparing beverages; processing orders; engaging guests; and coordinating service for assigned area(s). Bartenders will deliver gracious hospitality and ensure all guests receive friendly, courteous and prompt service at all times following proscribed and established Biltmore service standards. In addition, staff will provide general support for the restaurant team, leadership, and company.Essential Job Duties:1. Serve food and beverages in a friendly, efficient manner according to standards.2. Keep bar and public areas neat, clean, and free of debris at all times.3. Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and maintain positive guest relations at all times.4. Resolve guest complaints/issues to standards, ensuring guest satisfaction5. Make sure area(s) are properly stocked, prepped, and set.6. Opening/closing duties/responsibilities as assigned.7. Create alcoholic beverages in a timely manner following approved recipes.8. Create espresso beverages in a timely manner, utilizing equipment properly.9. Cleaning and organizing back stock areas.10. Changing half barrel kegs, lifting cases of wine and beer, and other physical tasks.Qualifications:to obtain TIPS, ALE and other related training required.2. Must be 21 years of age or older.Physical Requirements:1. Lift, carry, push, and pull 25-50 pounds; lift and carry 25-50 pounds on a large serving tray, above shoulder level, with one hand; up to 25 pounds on a small cocktail tray, with one hand.2. Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over duration of work shift.3. Ability to work in an environment that may include variable temperature conditions and noise levels; outdoor environments; and exposure to fumes, dust, and chemicals.
