Job summary

Meyer Jabara Hotels is seeking a willing Bistro Cook to prepare breakfast and dinner dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and follow strict Marriott brand standards. This role collaborates with Bistro Attendants and management to deliver a positive dining experience for guests.

The ideal candidate has ServSafe certification, experience in food service, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current ServSafe Food Handler or ServSafe Manager Certification is required.
• Previous cooking, food service, restaurant, or kitchen experience preferred.
• Experience preparing breakfast and light dinner menu items is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work AM or PM shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast and evening Bistro menu items according to Marriott brand standards
• Ensure food is prepared, plated, and presented consistently and professionally
• Follow all recipes, portion controls, and food preparation procedures
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization throughout each shift
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and inventory levels
• Rotate food products and properly store all food items
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food deliveries
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Communicate effectively with Bistro Attendants and management regarding menu items and guest requests
• Assist with setup and breakdown of breakfast and dinner service
• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times
• Follow all hotel safety and security procedures
• Support fellow team members and assist with other duties as assigned
