Omni Hotels & Resorts in Houston seeks an In-Room Dining Attendant to be the primary contact for guests desiring five-diamond in-room meals and beverages. You will close checks to the correct account and deliver orders accurately and on time to guest rooms.

You will set up room service trays, retrieve and deliver items from the kitchen and bar, serve meals and beverages, present and collect payments, and ensure guest satisfaction by following Omni's service standards and Moments of Service

• Take in-room dining orders via phone or in person with accuracy and courtesy.
• Set up room service trays and tables for incoming orders.
• Retrieve food and beverage orders from kitchen and bar and deliver to guest rooms and meeting spaces.
• Present checks to guests and collect payment; close out payments and signed checks.
• Serve meals and beverages in accordance with regulations and Omni standards.
• Enter all guest orders into MICROS POS system and communicate order details to kitchen and delivery teams.

Position Overview:

The In-Room Dining Attendant will be the primary point-of-contact for our guests who wish to experience a five-diamond quality in-room meal or beverage experience. This person will close checks to the correct account and deliver orders efficiently and correctly. The In-Room Dining Attendant also facilitates amenity deliveries, calls back guests to ensure every aspect of their order was delivered to their satisfaction and does whatever it takes to ensure timely and accurate service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow Omni guidelines for up-selling to enhance revenue and guest satisfaction.
• Process and expedite Select Guest (loyalty program) orders.
• Follow Omni’s “Moments of Service” guidelines for receiving guest orders via telephone and in person during the delivery.
• Follow Omni’s “Moments of Service” guidelines to confirm the details of each guest order, quoting accurate delivery items and following up on any needed or suggested menu items and preparation details.
• Set up room service trays and tables to prepare for incoming orders.
• Retrieve checks, set tables according to specifications, retrieve food and beverage orders from the kitchen and bar and deliver food to guest rooms and meeting rooms.
• Serve meals to guests, collect guest trays and respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
• Present checks to guests and obtain payment.
• Close out all payments/signed checks.
• Perform order taker duties and answer room service telephone.
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
• Enter all guest orders into our point-of-sale system (MICROS) according to Omni standards.
• Ensure all proper details about the order and pricing/delivery times are communicated to the Kitchen and Room Service delivery teams according to our standards.
• Work closely with other In Room Dining Attendants, accurately communicating pertinent order information, to ensure all orders are delivered efficiently and to the guest’s specifications.
