Boehringer Ingelheim’s Biotherapeutics Discovery team in Ridgefield, CT seeks an innovative Scientist IV, Biotherapeutics Purification to design and execute protein purification and analytics supporting the development of biotherapeutics.

The role spans purification using affinity, SEC, AEX/CEX, MMC, and HIC, analytical assessments (SDS-PAGE, CGE, HPLC-SEC, DLS), data interpretation, and automation initiatives, with collaboration across teams and strict regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 6+ years of experience or Bachelor's degree with 10+ years in related field.
• Experience with protein purification techniques (affinity, AEX/CEX, MMC, HIC).
• Experience with protein analytics (SDS-PAGE, CGE, U/HPLC, DLS).
• Proficiency in data analysis software and programming languages (MATLAB, Python, SQL; JMP/R is beneficial).
• Familiarity with lab automation preferred.

Responsabilités

• Plan and perform purification of biotherapeutic proteins using chromatography methods and troubleshoot.
• Perform analytical techniques to assess purity, stability, and quality of proteins.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve productivity and consistency of processes.
• Conduct purification assessments and interpret findings for colleagues.
• Develop new analytical methodologies and automation to boost throughput.
• Provide biochemistry and purification support to other scientists.
• Improve data quality and implement automation to streamline workflows.
• Maintain records according to SOPs and policies.
