Job summary

Real Staffing Group in Cambridge, MA is seeking a Scientist III (R&D) to join its Oligonucleotide/Peptide Purification Development team. The role focuses on developing robust, high-purity purification processes for oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics for clinical and commercial manufacturing.

You will lead process development and characterization, scale-up unit operations (chromatography, UF/DF), support tech transfer, and contribute to IND submission documents.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Chemistry with 2–4 years of industry experience.
• Master’s degree with 0–2 years of experience.
• Senior-level candidates require additional experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and characterize purification processes for oligonucleotide and peptide therapeutics.
• Scale-up unit operations including chromatography and ultrafiltration/diafiltration.
• Support technology transfer activities and troubleshoot on the manufacturing floor.
• Author regulatory sections for IND submissions.
• Mentor new employees and collaborate across teams to improve process understanding.
