Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an innovative Scientist IV, Biotherapeutics Purification in Ridgefield, CT to lead purification and analytics for protein biotherapeutics in a fast-paced research environment.

The role focuses on designing and executing purification methods, analyzing assays and production data, and collaborating across functional areas to advance projects. Strong problem-solving, communication and automation skills are required in a dynamic team setting.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree with 6+ years or Bachelor’s with 10+ years in related field
• Experience with purification techniques: affinity, AEX/CEX, MMC, HIC
• Experience with protein analytics: SDS-PAGE, CGE, U/HPLC, DLS
• Knowledge of protein expression preferred
• Proficiency in data analysis software and programming (MATLAB, Mathematica, Python, SQL, Java)
• Familiarity with lab automation
• Strong protein biochemistry knowledge on interactions, stability, quality attributes
• Creative problem solving and initiative; ability to work independently and in teams
• Good record-keeping, organization, and communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the United States without restriction

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate and perform purification of biotherapeutic proteins using standard chromatography methods
• Troubleshoot complex systems through process development
• Perform analytics to assess purity, stability and quality (HPLC-SEC, SDS-PAGE, CGE, DLS)
• Evaluate new technologies to improve productivity and quality
• Conduct stage-appropriate purification assessments and present findings
• Develop novel analytical methodologies to enhance purification capabilities
• Support broader biotherapeutics discovery research on protein structure and stability
• Provide purification support to other scientists and maintain records per SOPs and policies
