Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a Payer Field Account Director to secure favorable coverage for our products across Southeast US. You will develop payer strategies, engage with regional and national payers, and collaborate with field sales, Medical Affairs, Legal, Quality, and Marketing to onboard treatment centers and enable broad patient access.

The role requires 12+ years of payer experience, strong relationships with payers, and travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years related payer/hospital reimbursement experience.
• Proven relationships with Commercial Payer Medical Directors, Medicare Part A, State Medicaid, and Managed Medicaid stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in payer case rates, policy development and data tracking tools.
• Proactive, results-oriented, collaborative, self-starter with leadership in a complex reimbursement environment.
• Excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of patient privacy regulations (HIPAA), FDA and CMS policies.
• Team player with ability to work across internal stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel ~40% for site onboarding and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute payer strategy for regional and national accounts.
• Secure access to Orca products with payers and Medicaid/state agencies.
• Present data analyses and economic outcomes to support product value.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Legal, Quality, Marketing and Field Sales.
• Onboard treatment centers and support broad patient access.
• Track KPIs and maintain dashboards for account market access results.
• Engage with Academic Hospitals/Health Systems to ensure patient access.
• Address payer policy and reimbursement concerns across life cycle.
