Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a seasoned Payer Field Account Director to lead market access in the Southeast US, engaging with regional and national payers, Medicaid agencies, and Medicare contractors. You will partner with Field Sales, Medical Affairs, Legal, Quality, and Marketing to secure favorable coverage and enable patient access.

The role requires strong analytical and presentation skills, 12+ years in payer reimbursement, and willingness to travel ~40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 12+ years payer/hospital reimbursement experience.
• Proven relationships with Commercial Payer Medical Directors, Medicare Part A, State Medicaid.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in Payer data/tracking tools.
• Problem solving and multi-tasking are critical.
• Proactive, collaborative, and leadership oriented in complex reimbursement environments.
• Excellent presentation skills, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of OIG, FDA, CMS policies related to access.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single-point-of-contact for Authorized Treatment Centers for payer-access engagements.
• Develop and execute payer strategy for regional/national accounts and Medicaid/Medicare stakeholders.
• Present analyses of data, guidelines, and economic outcomes to support value proposition.
• Leverage MS Liaisons and providers for product/disease state presentations to key decision makers.
• Ensure favorable access and reimbursement across portfolio through life cycle management.
• Build partnerships with Academic Hospitals/Health Systems to enable patient access.
• Collaborate with Case Management to resolve access issues.
• Track KPIs and maintain dashboards for market access results.
• Comply with Orca Bioscience policies and ethics.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
