Job summary

Orca Bio is seeking a US Payer Field Account Director to lead payer-access strategy across the Southeast US, engaging with regional and national payers and academic health systems.

You will secure favorable coverage and reimbursement, onboard treatment centers, and work with cross-functional teams to optimize patient access. Travel up to ~40% may be required.

The role requires expertise in payer policy, pricing communication, and data-driven decision making with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or related field.
• 12+ years payer/hospital reimbursement experience.
• Strong relationships with payer stakeholders.
• Proven analytical and policy data tracking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership in a complex environment.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single point of contact for ATCs on payer-access engagements.
• Develop and execute payer strategy for regional and national accounts, state Medicaid agencies, and Medicare Administrative Contractors.
• Present analysis of scientific data, clinical practice goals, guidelines, and anticipated economic program outcomes to support product value proposition.
• Utilize clinical expertise of Medical Science Liaisons or medical providers for presentations to key decision makers.
• Deliver and maintain favorable access and reimbursement for Orca products at regional & national payer accounts.
• Accountable for partnerships with targeted Academic Hospitals/Health Systems to ensure patient access.
• Frequent interactions with Case Management to resolve patient access issues.
• Track KPIs and ensure dashboards measure market access results.
• Must adhere to Orca Bioscience’s core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
