Job summary

Mirai Bio, a Flagship-founded biotechnology company, seeks a Lab Operations Manager in Somerville, MA to lead lab facilities, vendor relations, and safety programs. The role requires managing equipment, calibrations, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic biotech environment.

You will collaborate with scientists to streamline workflows, address bottlenecks, and ensure efficient lab operations while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering related fields, or comparable industry experience.
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience in lab management.
• Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical lab environments.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal lab safety regulations.
• Direct experience with LIMS and enterprise software systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize lab processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
• Oversee lab safety, regulatory compliance, and PPE policy.
• Coordinate vendors, IT, and facilities; manage lab equipment and calibration.
• Coordinate annual permits, lab deliveries, and waste removal.
• Assist in budget planning and review of service contracts.
