Job summary

Fapon Life Sciences in Lexington, MA is seeking a hands-on Lab & Operations Manager to oversee our molecular diagnostics R&D center operations, facilities, inventory control, procurement, and EHS compliance. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and productive environment for our scientific teams.

You will manage the BSL-2 lab daily, coordinate with procurement and logistics, maintain equipment and vendor relationships, and partner with leadership to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences required.
• At least 2 years of formal lab management or operations experience.
• Proven hands-on experience with BSL-2 lab management, EHS compliance, chemical hygiene, and biosafety protocols.
• Direct experience with lab procurement, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the BSL-2 lab, ensuring OSHA/EHS compliance.
• Manage warehouse operations for R&D reagents and materials, coordinating purchasing and logistics.
• Coordinate with landlords and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Provide on-site purchasing, receiving, and procurement support.
