Job summary

Mirai Bio, a Flagship-founded biotechnology company, seeks a Lab Operations Manager to lead lab facilities, vendor relations, and overall operations in a fast-paced environment. The role requires coordinating equipment, safety, and documentation while enabling researchers to work efficiently and safely.

The candidate will manage inventories, compliance, and external providers, partnering with scientists to streamline workflows and drive continuous improvement in a dynamic biotech setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in lab management.
• Experience in Biotech/Pharma lab environments.
• Knowledge of lab safety regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Experience with LIMS and enterprise software systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize lab processes to boost efficiency and safety.
• Oversee major lab equipment procurement, PMs, and service contracts.
• Ensure lab safety, regulatory compliance, and PPE policy adherence.
• Manage external providers for lab supplies, facilities, IT, and EHS.
• Coordinate permits, licenses, and shipment logistics for lab materials.
• Document lab procedures and maintain organized records and audits.
• Collaborate with scientists to resolve workflow bottlenecks and improve processes.
• Handle occasional off-hours lab emergencies and general office operations.
