The successful candidate will have 5+ years in lab management, experience in biotech/pharma settings, and strong knowledge of safety regulations and LIMS. This position is based in Cambridge, MA and involves budget oversight and coordination

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in sciences or engineering required.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant lab management experience.
• Experience in Biotech/Pharmaceutical lab environments with operations, vendor management, procurement, and safety.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations relating to lab safety and PPE policies.
• Strong documentation, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize lab processes to increase efficiency, including inventory, consumables, and chemicals.
• Manage acquisition and maintenance of major lab equipment with service contracts, maintenance, and calibration schedules.
• Oversee lab safety and regulatory compliance, tracking biologics, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Coordinate external providers for lab support services (supplies, facility, EHS, IT).
• Coordinate annual permits, license renewals, and lab shipments, including waste removal.
• Manage shipping for domestic/international lab materials and verify vendor receipts.
• Create and manage lab documentation and annual cleanouts, including micropipette calibration.
• Collaborate with scientists to address workflow bottlenecks and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot lab issues, including occasional off-hours emergencies.
• Oversee general office operations and coordination with Facilities/IT for meetings and catering.
• Assist with budget planning and review of service contracts.
