Job summary

BreezeBio in Brisbane, CA is seeking a Lab and Facility Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across chemistry and biology labs, office spaces, and the overall facility. This full-time role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and focuses ~70% on lab functions and ~30% on office tasks.

The successful candidate will have hands-on experience managing biotech labs, strong organizational skills, and be comfortable coordinating with vendors and building management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education with 3–5 years in biotech labs.
• Experience purchasing, inventory, shipping, and facilities/vendor coordination.
• Hazardous and biohazardous waste management with regulatory compliance.
• US work authorization required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain chemistry and biology laboratory spaces and storage.
• Manage purchasing and procurement of laboratory supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and replenish supplies.
• Coordinate shipping/receiving and required documentation.
• Coordinate routine equipment maintenance and service visits.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships; liaise with building management.
• Act as the primary lab safety officer and manage hazardous waste program.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with local, county, and city requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and audits; follow through on corrective actions.
• Oversee day-to-day office tasks including IT support and purchasing.
