Job summary

MAXIMUS in the United States (Columbia, South Carolina) is seeking an experienced data analytics professional. The role focuses on analyzing operational data to derive actionable insights for stakeholders and partners, and guiding across multiple projects on performance improvements.

You will design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks, build Power BI dashboards, and apply NLP/LLM concepts where applicable to support mission readiness analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark).
• Proficiency with SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL.
• Experience building Power BI reports and data models.
• Knowledge of NLP and LLM basics.
• Strong ability to communicate with stakeholders to translate needs into analytics outputs.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate.
• Experience with web tech like HTML/CSS/JS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy advanced methods to analyze operational data and derive insights for stakeholders.
• Act as data analytics contact across projects and guide on performance and maturity options.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and provide insights for operations and projects.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks (Spark/PySpark).
• Create dashboards and analytics products using Power BI with semantic models.
• Prepare data from multiple sources for reporting and decision support.
• Document data sources, transformations, and methodologies.
