Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a data analytics professional to analyze operational data, build KPIs, and deliver actionable insights for readiness and business development partners. You will design ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks, create Power BI dashboards, and collaborate across projects to improve solution maturity and performance.

Requirements include a related bachelor's degree and 5–7 years of experience, with strong SQL, Python/R, Spark, and NLP familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Access.
• Working knowledge of SQL Server/SQL/T-SQL, including querying, joins, indexing basics, and relational schemas.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark, preferably PySpark.
• Foundational programming skills in Python or R for analysis, data manipulation, and ML workflows.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling basics, data quality checks, and reproducible pipelines.
• Experience building Power BI reports and datasets.
• Familiarity with Power Apps and Power Automate for workflow integration.
• Basic familiarity with NLP and Large Language Models.
• Ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders and translate mission needs into data outputs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to derive actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Serve as data analytics liaison across projects and guide performance improvements.
• Develop and implement new KPIs and scripts as needed.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server and Databricks.
• Create dashboards and analytical products with Power BI.
• Prepare documentation and artifacts for transparency and continuity.
• Support team communications and project management activities.
• Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources for reporting.
• Apply statistical methods and ML to forecasts and readiness insights.
